ALL THINGS DESIGNER OF THE YEAR
Journalist & Graphic Designer Portfolio
ABOUT ME
Meet Future Designer Of The Year (Hopefully)
My name is Tysheena Davis and I’ve been designing for four years. During this time I’ve designed numerous front page and back covers and many eye-catching pages for newspaper and yearbook. Outside of the newspaper I’ve designed many things from homecoming tickets to a low poly illustration that ended up in an art gallery!! I also work at FHLB in the marketing and communications department as an intern and get the chance to design even more. I’ve recently taken coding for my designs and aim to become a UX/UI designer. Winning Designer of the Year would add a greater meaning to an already great portfolio.
MY FUTURE IN DESIGN
My older brother does Graphic design so when choosing my future classes in the 8th grade I thought it would be fun to choose graphic design as a class little did I know that small decision would change my life (I have a hidden talent must run in the family) So in the 10th grade I started my first design class with Mrs. Lee a Graphic design teacher at East for 7 years within the first month she had told me that I was one of the best design students she has had from there on I had it set on my mind to become a graphic designer. I searched around for many job ideas but I've set my eyes on working in UX/UI Design and will be attending Iowa State University for a double major in Graphic design and interdisciplinary design in the fall.
